Thule Portage Canoe Carrier 819

The Thule Portage 819 Canoe Carrier is an ideal kit for carrier an open canoe on most vehicles. Consisting of a set of 4 padded L-shaped gunwale mounts which not only protect canoe gunwales from damage but are designed to keep an open canoe safe and secure on the roof rack. These L-Shaped mounts are easy to fit by simply putting them on the Roofbars and securing the fixings around the bar, then hand tighten the wing nuts until the desired tension is reached. These pads can be moved as marrow or as wide as your roof rack fixings allow, making them ideal for carrying most open canoes. 

Thule supply the 819 Portage with pair of 4m cam straps with buckle protectors to go across the canoe as well as a set of bow and stern tie downs to go from the front and rear of the canoe to the front and rear of the vehicle.
